How to Manually Configure ICA Storage Mapping in a ThinX Device
Objectives
This document explains how to manually configure ICA Storage Mapping on a ThinX based device.
Applicable Software Versions
This document is applicable to a device with the following firmware version:
Chip PC ThinX device firmware, version 1.1.0, build RL0.150802 and above.
General
A ThinX based device can be centrally administrated via the Chip PC Xcalibur Global Management software or it can be manually configured on a local per device basis.
The ICA client on a ThinX based device can be configured both via Xcalibur Global and manually. The following procedure is applicable for an environment without Xcalibur Global.
ICA Client Configuration
On the ThinX device, select Start > My Connections > My Citrix to open the
My Citrix dialog.
From the menus in the My Citrix dialog, select Tools > Settings to open the Settings dialog.
In the Settings dialog, click on the top left drop-down list and select Drive Mapping.
In the Drive Mapping settings, perform the following tasks:
Click the Enable button corresponding to the drive name (that is to say D, E etc.) you wish to assign. The mapped device will appear in your Citrix session using this drive name.
Click on the field to the right of the selected drive name.
Click Modify to select the path to the device that will be mapped (for example /media/usb0 refers to the USB device).
Double-click on the desired path and it should now appear in the Selection field.
Click OK to return to Drive Mapping settings.
The selected path will now appear next to the drive letter name you previously selected.
Use the icons to the right to enable/disable read and write permissions.
Verify the Enable Drive Mapping is selected and click OK to return to the My Citrix dialog.
The drive mapping settings will affect all existing and future ICA connections.
