Chip PC announces the upcoming release of Xcalibur Global 1.2, bringing thin-client-management to new levels of sophistication and efficiency. 
Xcalibur Global 1.2 provides a single-point, end-to-end management solution that combines policy-based thin client management, VDI brokering and Terminal Session management into a single platform.

1. VDI Broker: Xcalibur Global enables IT personnel to manage the assignment of Virtual Machines to devices and users via Chip PC VDI Broker.
   o Interfaces with VMware Virtual Center and Microsoft Active Directory for Virtual Machine assignment
   o Integral component of the Xcalibur Global thin client management platform
   o Provides Single Point of Sign On
   o Provides elaborate monitoring options on Virtual Machines assignment /management
   o Enables  rapid deployment of Virtual Machines to either devices or Users
   o Permits Scheduling/Leasing of Virtual Machines as needed
   o True Plug & Play functionality as VDI Broker is a modular Plug-In software installable on any of Chip PC devices 
2. Session Desk Console Xcalibur Global enables IT personnel to manage Terminal Sessions via Chip PC Session Desk.
   o Interfaces with VMware, Citrix and Microsoft  Servers for terminal session management (VDI, ICA, RDP)
   o Integral component of the Xcalibur Global thin client management platform
   o Enables elaborate shadowing and monitoring options on various session types (VDI, ICA, RDP) such as log-off, reset, message
   o Useful for diagnostic purposes& remote, online Help Desk capabilities
3. Connectivity to Microsoft SMS Server makes it possible to update your SMS inventory with thin client hardware and software information by extracting thin client details from the Xcalibur Global database to the SMS inventory.
